The Story of Leonardo and Silvia
Leonardo and Silvia both come from families deeply connected to Santa Luce. Their roots lie in this village, enriched by influences that tell stories of other regions and diverse family paths.

Silvia carries a dual identity: on one side Santa Luce, the homeland of her grandfather, and on the other Piedmont, where her grandmother came from Alba, in the province of Turin. It was in Santa Luce that Silvia spent the summers of her childhood, developing a deep bond with this place. She also completed her university studies, a journey that significantly shaped her personal and professional growth.
Leonardo, on the other hand, combines in his roots both Sicily and Santa Luce—a place he has always considered home and where he lived intensely for many years.
It was precisely in Santa Luce, during the summers of their youth, that their connection first began: a simple and genuine encounter, shaped by shared moments of holidays, friendships, and village life. Even when their paths temporarily diverged, their bond with this place was never broken. Between Silvia’s summers in Santa Luce and Leonardo’s time spent elsewhere, their journeys continued to intertwine in meaningful ways.
Over time, their lives took shape. Silvia completed her studies, while Leonardo finished school in Rosignano and began his professional path in the metalworking sector. After gaining various experiences, he eventually found stability in a company specializing in water management in the provinces of Pisa and Livorno, where he has been working since 1997.
Their story grew stronger: they became a couple and began building their future together. In 2008, they celebrated their wedding, and a few years later their family was enriched with the birth of their daughters: Camilla in 2012 and their second daughter Matilda in 2014.

Today, the family lives in the historic center of Santa Luce, in a home that represents far more than just a place to live—it is the symbol of a family story built over time. The house was largely constructed by Leonardo’s father together with his sons, becoming a true example of the Italian tradition of cooperation, dedication, and strong ties between generations. Multiple generations live under one roof, preserving the family spirit that still defines Tuscan villages today.
The family is also deeply integrated into the social life of the village. Generosity, helpfulness, and care for others are values lived daily and passed on from parents to daughters—also through experiences such as scouting and active participation in local community life.
A particularly meaningful expression of this bond with the region is their involvement in the “Festa a Piedi Nudi,” which takes place every year around Ferragosto in Santa Luce. On this occasion, the whole family takes part with great enthusiasm—from organization to cooking and service—actively contributing to an event that brings together community, tradition, and the joy of sharing.
